Information Systems Fellow

Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to support our organization's ability to identify, consume and make available any and all data that will help us achieve our Strategic Priorities.

This Fellow will add capacity to our existing Data Architect - Business Systems staff of one, allowing us to even more quickly meet the organization's needs for data integration, extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading of internal and external data
sources.

Job Responsibilities

DATA CONSUMPTION AND USE
• Support data and reporting requirements for a variety of applications, analysts, and end-users in all departments
• Develop and support custom SQL queries as directed

DATA INTEGRATION
• Support the Data Architect in the creation and management of ETL (extract, transform, load) data integration processes
• Understand the format, definitions, limitations, and content of external and internal data feeds
• Reconcile differences across data sources and consolidate into a single master repository
• Support the use of data standards, security, stewardship, lineage, and metadata management
• As directed, spearhead efforts to identify, obtain and integrate new data sources useful for decision-making 

Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field is required
- Working exposure to Business intelligence, Data Warehousing, OLAP, and/or data integration experience is preferred
- Knowledge of design and integration principles for complex, heterogeneous databases is preferred
- Experience with or previous exposure to an ETL tool and BI reporting tools (e.g. Microsoft SSIS & SSRS) is preferred
- Solid knowledge of query development, including SQL, MDX, and stored procedures is preferred
- Experience supporting or using statistical and/or data mining applications such as STATA, SAS, SPSS, SPLUS,
or R is desirable
- Familiarity with any of application development, web technologies, user interface design, or data graphic
design desirable
