About the Job

Do you love Austin? Looking for a company that embodies the same vibe?

Look no further than Mitratech.

We are currently searching for talented computer science majors at UT Austin who are graduating this May. We’ll place you in one of our scrum teams where you’ll help us develop our best-in-the-industry-products—all the while learning under the tutelage of our senior software engineers.

Working at Mitratech is both exciting and rewarding. We go to great lengths to ensure that we address our employees’ specific developmental goals and needs. Mitratech is fundamentally different from most other software companies in Austin: within your first month, you’ll be writing code that has immediate and lasting value for the company and our clients.

We are also looking for the right cultural fit. As a company, Mitratech has monthly happy hours, hosts weekly Q&A sessions with the CEO, and embraces a casual dress code (yes, that means jeans & t-shirts are just fine), and an open PTO policy. Does this sound like a place where you can thrive?

If you can see yourself as part of our team, then we encourage you to apply today!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work hard, have fun, and contribute and learn as a member of a scrum team
  • Create code that meets design specifications, follows standards, is of high quality and is easy to maintain
  • Work with various teams in the organization to ensure appropriate project requirements are met
  • Perform unit and peer testing to ensure that the product is fully tested

Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Programming or Software Design at UT Austin
  • Successful completion of projects where programming languages, ideally Java, are put to use to solve problems

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience using the Eclipse IDE or other similar developer environments

All applicants meeting minimum qualifications will be required to complete a 30 minute online assessment as part of your candidate application.
